About Me

Hi, I’m Dan!

I first picked up a guitar and began my playing journey over 10 years ago. It wasn’t long before I started forming my own bands, and shortly thereafter playing as many gigs as I could get. As guitarists of any ability will know, performing with other musicians is about the highest form of gratification you can get, and I soon developed a taste for it! Through playing live and socialising with other musicians (and crucially a few non-guitarists!), I gained a knowledge of a vast array of genres and how to play them. This set me in good stead for my guitar-playing career, as well as increasing my appetite for all things guitar!

Top tip: take any opportunity you can to play, wherever and with whoever you can! Not only do you get to meet lots of cool and interesting people this way, but your musical vocabulary will increase so much faster! To play is to learn.

From here, I pursued a formal A Level qualification in music, which opened all kinds of doors for me, from granting me a good understanding of musical theory to giving me an idea of how to create my own compositions. As you will soon learn, I firmly believe that knowledge is power, and wholeheartedly encourage an open-mind to learning in all areas.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me. How about introducing yourself?

I hope you enjoy my site!
